Updated Interim Inquiry Report: Pollokshields Development Agency
The Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) has published an updated interim inquiry report for Pollokshields Development Agency (SC033424).
OSCR previously published an interim inquiry report on 1 June 2023, after receiving information that charity trustees had been removed and new trustees appointed in a way that did not comply with the charity’s constitution. As a result of our inquiries, we were concerned that the charity’s assets were at risk and so issued two directions to the charity:
- OSCR directed the charity not to undertake activities whilst inquiries were ongoing; and
- OSCR directed the charity’s bank not to part with property it was holding on behalf of Pollokshields Development agency without OSCR’s consent.
These directions were valid for a period of six months.
As part of the ongoing inquiry, the current charity trustees have been providing information to OSCR in response to our requests. Upon reviewing this, we no longer consider it necessary for these directions to be in place. Therefore, we have now published an updated interim inquiry report which explains that we have revoked both directions.
Our work on this matter is ongoing and the revocation of these directions does not pre-empt the outcome. We will publish a full report on this inquiry when we have concluded our regulatory work.
