Fundraising Code of Practice consultation is now live
The Fundraising Regulator is currently responsible for maintaining and developing the Code of Fundraising Practice. This code is followed across the UK and will be the basis of the adjudication and standards work carried out by the Independent Fundraising Standards and Adjudication Panel for Scotland.
The aim is to develop the code in accordance with the needs of both fundraisers and donors.
A consultation on the code has been launched that will run until the end of April. The opinions of charities, fundraisers and the general public are being sought on proposed changes to the code. Due to the distinctive nature of the charity sector in Scotland, and the different regulatory system in place, it is important that there is a good response to the consultation from Scotland.
