Independent Examination of Charity Accounts

Charity trustees are required to have their charity annual accounts scrutinised by someone independent before submission to the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR). That means someone who is independent of your charity must review the accounts and produce a report that highlights any issues to the reader. Come along to hear our accounts experts talk through

• the main activities we expect independent examiners to carry out when examining a set of receipt and payment accounts,

• the common mistakes we see, and

• to understand when an Independent Examiner should report matters to OSCR.

We will provide a short presentation, followed by some time for questions and answers.

Please note this event is aimed at voluntary independent examiners who help support charities who prepare receipts and payments accounts.
