Application for consent to amend a charity's constitution (as far as it relates to purposes)

 

A charity's constitution is a legal document that outlines the charity's purpose, structure, and how it operates. It can also be known as a governing document, a trust deed, or rules, depending on the specific legal structure of the organisation.

Please read our Making changes and reorganising section before completing this application form. Some of the information you give in this form will become publicly available on the Scottish Charity Register.

Charity information
The Scottish Charity Number starts 'SC0' and can be found on the Scottish Charity Register.
Applicant information
If you are applying on behalf of a charity, please state your position and the organisation you represent.
Supporting information
If the constitution has no such explicit provision but the charity has the powers to make amendments by another means (e.g. under the Companies Act 2006) please provide details.
For example, this may be when your next AGM takes place. An approximate date will be acceptable.
Please include details of relevant clauses
Are any of the charity’s activities are likely to change as a result of the changes to your constitution?
Please provide registration numbers (if applicable). Also provide any other information you feel is relevant, for example, if you are amending your constitution in line with guidance from your parent body.
