The Gathering is Scotland’s biggest celebration of the voluntary sector, and this year's two-day event takes place on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 February 2026 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC).
Organised by SCVO, the Gathering is an opportunity for people working in and with the voluntary sector to network, showcase what they do and learn from each other. There's a packed programme of free events, with a wide variety of workshops, seminars and activities on offer.
As part of the event programme, we will be hosting an event to help you understand the recent changes to Scottish charity law.
Join us to learn more about the key legal changes and what they mean for charities and advisors, including:
We will discuss the practical impact of these changes and outline steps charities should consider to ensure compliance. The session will also provide an overview of how these changes have been implemented to date, including reflections on the use and impact of OSCR’s enhanced regulatory powers.
Attendees will gain insights into the latest data on charity trustees, emerging trends, and how this information supports effective regulation. OSCR representatives will share updates on key regulatory areas, ongoing work, and upcoming changes of interest to the sector.
This session is designed to equip charities and advisors with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape. There will be opportunities for questions and discussion throughout.
