OSCR has today (30 January 2026) published an inquiry report on its ongoing inquiries into The Gate Way For The Less Privileged (SC048911).

OSCR opened an inquiry into the charity following concerns about public fundraising being carried out without the required reporting to local authorities. Despite repeated attempts to contact the charity – including the use of our formal powers – OSCR has not received the necessary information about the charity’s governance, finances or activities.

As a result of our inquiries to date, it is not clear what activities the charity is undertaking in furtherance of its purposes, and OSCR is concerned that the charity's assets may be at risk.

Given the seriousness of the situation, OSCR has directed the charity not to undertake any activities, including fundraising, while our inquiries are ongoing. This direction is valid for six months, until 30 July 2026.
