The organisations purposes are: 5.1 To provide a recreational facility or organise recreational activities with the aim of improving the conditions of life for whom the facility or activities are primarily intended. In furtherance of the aforementioned charitable purpose, Tea in the Pot will be responsible for the coordination, management, promotion and development of a drop in service that provides information and helps women to link in with other sources of appropriate information and advice as required. We will also coordinate and deliver recreational activities. 5.2 The advancement of citizenship or community development. In furtherance of the aforementioned charitable purpose, Tea in the Pot will support and encourage integration and promote diversity to enable the empowerment of women and to prevent them from becoming socially excluded. We also actively promote the voluntary sector where appropriate, as other sources of support and provide volunteering opportunities to enable our women to develop and share their skills and build their confidence and self-esteem, allowing them to play a full active role in their community. 5.3 The advancement of education. In furtherance of the aforementioned charitable purpose, Tea in the Pot will facilitate the delivery of practical learning activities, both formal & informal, allowing participants to up skill and gain formal qualifications and (or) certificates, as well as gaining practical knowledge that will improve their health & wellbeing.
