What the charity is set up to do and how it does this:
Westfield Park Community Centre strives to provide a programme of social, recreational and educational activities for the benefit of the people of Westfield and the wider community, of all backgrounds and ages. The Centre is in the heart of the local community and in the middle of the wider Falkirk and Grangemouth area. We currently run an arts and crafts group twice a week and a creative writing group weekly. These activities support adults who are socially isolated and lonely, people with mental health and physical health support needs and community members affected by poverty. Our ‘Warm Wee Nook’ Café provides provides a homemade hot meal and refreshments in a social and friendly environment. Westfield Park Community Centre engages and connects with young people, children and families through a weekly-run mums and carers, babies and toddlers group and through our youth club. The youth club brings young people together through activities from sporting to cooking activities.
