What the charity is set up to do and how it does this:
LoveOliver funds vital research into childhood cancers at Newcastle University, and provides a range of practical support to families affected by it, across Scotland. Practical support includes financial help, healthy meals for parents during hospital stays and digital thermometers. LoveOliver runs a drop-in centre for childhood oncology families, across the road from the new Edinburgh children's hospital, which provides a range of facilities, groups and support for families. We have a small staff team as well as a large team of volunteers, helping to run both our Hub and also our children's charity shop in Fife which is our main source of income. We have many amazing supporters who also fundraise in other ways like taking part in sponsored events, YPI and in lots of other ways too.
