2 a) The aims of the society shall be to promote and encourage interest in, and care for, the wartime history of the Loch Ewe Area, North Atlantic and Arctic Convoys, and by charitable means and not otherwise: b) To preserve remains, buildings and structures of wartime historical interest, artefacts and other objects which reflect or are connected with the life and history of the area during the relevant time. c) To prepare reports and schedules of historic relics and to collect, collate and preserve pictorial and literary records. d) To encourage, support and carry out research into matters of historic and general interest in the area during the relevant time, and to publish the results in suitable form. e) To maintain liaison with educationalists and by means of meetings, lectures, exhibitions and general publicity, to encourage students and others to take an interest in the aims of the Society. f) To make such representations to official bodies as may in the opinion of the Society be necessary to safeguard its objects and the public interest. g) To set up a museum and acquire, by means of gift, purchase or loan, historical relics and records for the purpose of exhibition, preservation and safe custody. Such museum to be administered in accordance with and subject to the provisions contained in the Schedule hereto annexed. h) To undertake any projects of a charitable nature which will assist the foregoing objectives.
