Object:
The objects of the Association shall be to relieve the needs and promote the welfare of families, individuals and children affected by relationship difficulties by promoting, developing and co-ordinating support services, principally family mediation, child contact centres and confidential counselling services. In furtherance thereof, but not otherwise, the Association shall seek: to promote the idea of mediation and counselling with the object of assisting persons concerned in matrimonial or other disputes of any kind whatever concerning children or related matters, and the children of such persons, to settle such disputes amicably so far as possible in the interests of such children; (ii) to provide a confidential counselling service for people who have difficulties in their marriage or in other personal relationships; (iii) to provide an education service in personal relationships for those entering and those already in a relationship, and those who are separated; (iv) to promote a comprehensive and co-ordinated service to the community in Dumfries and Galloway designed to meet the special needs of such persons and to provide mediation, counselling, advice and information with the objects specified at 2(i), 2(ii) and 2(iii) suDra; (v) to promote and encourage co-operation with and amongst and support for courts, statutory and voluntary bodies and all organisations and individuals involved in any way with such disputes and difficulties; (vi) to work and campaign for the understanding and improvement of the rights and interests of such persons; (vii) to promote and encourage research into and study of matters connected in any way with these objects; and (viii) to comply with the practice and standards of Family Mediation Scotland, Relate Scotland and all their successors.

From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:
