(One) To preserve and promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Yarrows area and its environs as well as Caithness and the Nation at large whatever of its Scottish archaeological, historical, architectural, constructional and national heritage as may exist in the Yarrows area and generally to encourage and promote the study and preservation of the archaeology, history, culture, flora, fauna, geology and way of life in the Yarrows area and Caithness and adjacent parts of Northern Scotland as the Trustees consider appropriate (Two) For the advancement of the education of the general public, without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions, by provision of an interpretative facility and/or museum/archive along with the Collection and together with such other objects, specimens or collections as may from time to time be acquired in accordance with the provisions of this Deed ("the Collection"), in respect of which there will be a strong presumption against the subsequent disposal of any specimen (Three) To provide for the protection of the specimens comprised in the Collection from deterioration, damage, loss, accidental destruction or unauthorised disposal (Four) Any other objects recognised by the Commissioners of Inland Revenue as charitable which the Trustees consider are similar or related to the foregoing objects

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:
