The charity is set up to promote and undertake research and education in fresh water fishery resources in the Cromarty Firth. Funds to support this are generated from investments listed on the stock exchange and donations received. Trustees meet on a regular basis to discuss and decide projects, activities and agree donations. The charity has recently changed it's name to Cromarty Firth Watershed Environmental Trust to reflect a change in the work it wants to promote and undertake going forward.
