The purposes of the charity in supporting young people aged 5-18 years with a disability, who live within the East Lothian area, shall be the following: 2.1 Advancement of citizenship, education and community development. 2.2 The provision and organisation of recreational activities. 2.3 The promotion of equality and diversity. 2.4 The relief of those in need. This is achieved by offering Playschemes, Youth Clubs and other social opportunities which: a) Provide access to recreational opportunities for disabled young people. b) Provide support, guidance and supervision to enable disabled young people to participate in recreational activities. c) Involve disabled young people and their families in the planning of services offered. d) Raise awareness and provide training to break down barriers and build inclusion. e) Improve the quality of life for young people with disabilities by offering opportunities for increased social interaction in their local community. f) Provide respite to the families/carers of disabled young people.
