The objectives of the Society shallb e as follows:- To preserve the character, history and traditions of the County of Caithness in general and the Burgh and Parish of Thurso in particular. To promote and maintain public interest and participation in such matters. To establish and maintain a permaneent museum of local character which will be open to the public. To provide to members assistance and facilities for research and education in cultural pursuits of the heritage of the County of Caithness in general and in the Burgh and Parish of Thurso in particular. To encourage the publicatjion and dissemination of papers on the heritage of the County of Caithness in general and the Burgh and Parish of Thurso in particular and provide an opportunity and outlet for members to particiapte actively in such matters.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:
