Object:
The object of the League shall be to relieve the needs of patients and former patients of the Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, and generally to support the charitable work of the said Hospital. For the purpose of carrying out the foresaid object, but not otherwise, the League shall have the following powers:- (a) To foster and maintain public interest in the welfare of patients and staff, and to support the work of the Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline. (b) To co-operate with other relevant bodies, for the benefit of the Hospital. (c) To provide funds for extra comforts and amenities for the patients and staff of the Hospital. (d) To receive gifts of all kinds, including donations, legacies and endowments, for the advancement of the work of the Hospital. (e) To assist in the recruitment of voluntary helpers, who would be able to be called upon in the event of any major emergency.

The volunteers raise funds through craft fairs and donations for the benefit of patients and staff at Queen Margaret Hospital. Staff are encouraged to request monies from the Friends to make the environment within their department more comfortable for them, their patients and visitors.
