Aims and Objectives The aims objectives of The Association shall be. a) To organise, promote and stimulate an interest in the playing of Football among young people living within Lochgilphead and the outlying surrounding areas. b) To aid the health and wellbeing of any child, youth or adult that would like to partake in football activity with regards training or playing football for the club or to become a coach, or team helper within the association set up. c) Outlying areas are defined as within an approximate 60-mile radius of Lochgilphead, anyone further can also become a member if there are circumstances that allow such membership taking into consideration outlying islands around Argyll. d) To provide and widen training to young people within the area interested in Football, to develop awareness, knowledge and understanding of the Game and to encourage skills, talent, participation and career development of such young people; to provide and fund the tuition and teaching of such young people in the process of developing their football ability and aptitude. e) To seek, to support and be supported by (1) Argyll and Bute Council as local education authority (2) The schools both primary and secondary within f) Lochgilphead and outlying areas, in achieving the Objects and aims of The Association. f) To enable Lochgilphead teams to compete at the highest possible level in recognised football competitions, including major competitions organised under the auspices of the Scottish Schools and Scottish Football Associations.

We are also required to publish each charity’s annual report and accounts as received from this date, which may include the names of certain individuals. The only exceptions to publication are where a charity or one of its charity trustees applies for this information to be excluded, and OSCR is satisfied that publishing it would jeopardise the safety or security of a person or premises.

If the charity trustee information on a Register entry appears blank, this may mean that an exemption applies or that the charity has not yet provided the required details to OSCR. Supplying this information will become mandatory as part of future annual submissions.

  • its annual report and full accounts, if submitted after 9 March 2026
    (Accounts submitted prior to 9 March 2026 will be redacted, or may not be published, depending on the charity’s income level or legal form.)

These changes are designed to improve transparency across the charity sector in Scotland.
