What the charity is set up to do and how it does this:
Forth SPAN is a registered charity (SC053321) based in Queensferry and surrounding areas. We are a grassroots organisation with a mission to contribute to reducing deaths by suicide through targeted local approaches including: funding and facilitation of suicide prevention and mental health training and resources; supporting and promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. In March 2025 we ran the first ever Ferry Well festival focussing on mental health and wellbeing for the residents of South Queensferry. The weekend festival included delivering training to over 50 people on suicide awareness, running a dry bar Pub Quiz and running an open community hall festival promoting social activities in South Queensferry.

From 09 March 2026, OSCR is required by law to publish the names of a charity’s trustees as part of its Scottish Charity Register entry.   • its annual report and full accounts, if submitted after 9 March 2026
    (Accounts submitted prior to 9 March 2026 will be redacted, or may not be published, depending on the charity’s income level or legal form.)

These changes are designed to improve transparency across the charity sector in Scotland.
