4 The organisation's purpose is: 4.1 To improve the lives and well-being of young people, their families from the Black and ethnic minorities in the west of Glasgow by offering recreational activities and supporting their development and integration into the community. This includes helping them access various public services. These will be achieved by: a. Creating and organising various workshop activities on our premises or rented places from private or local authorities. b. Creating and organising sports, creative and recreational activities for young people to share their skills, and knowledge, and socialise with other Glasgow West area members. c. Having these regular activities and workshops to help reduce isolation and improve the mental and physical well-being of young, refugees, asylum seekers, and people from the BME.

To improve the lives and wellbeing of young people and their families from Black and ethnic minority communities in the west of Glasgow, by offering recreational activities and supporting their development and integration into the community, including helping them access public services. -Delivery of community-led programmes in West Glasgow, including: - Food Distribution Service (FareShare partnership) to reduce food insecurity and food waste; - Baraka Thrive: Digital & Well-Being Hub (digital inclusion and wellbeing sessions); - Family Social & Learning Meetups and Family Connection Hub (family support and community connection); - Zakat/Sadaqah hardship support (emergency family assistance); and - Refugee Festival Scotland event “Flavour of Home”.

From 09 March 2026, OSCR is required by law to publish the names of a charity’s trustees as part of its Scottish Charity Register entry. We are also required to publish each charity’s annual report and accounts as received from this date, which may include the names of certain individuals. The only exceptions to publication are where a charity or one of its charity trustees applies for this information to be excluded, and OSCR is satisfied that publishing it would jeopardise the safety or security of a person or premises.

  • its annual report and full accounts, if submitted after 9 March 2026
    (Accounts submitted prior to 9 March 2026 will be redacted, or may not be published, depending on the charity’s income level or legal form.)

These changes are designed to improve transparency across the charity sector in Scotland.
