The SCIO will promote, advance and further charitable purposes primarily by the personal development of children and young people up to 25 years of age participating (ordinarily young people or those facing barriers) to unlock potential, encourage health activity, involve physical skill and exertion through instruction, (affordable, supported or free), participation and teaching others and gaining qualifications in snowsports, climbing and similar outdoor pursuits and physical activity with a focus on activity in Scotland and impact on those living in Scotland. Charity accounts and constitution – what information do we publish?

From January 2026, OSCR will begin publishing annual reports and accounts in full online once they are received. This marks a change from the current approach, where OSCR publishes accounts for certain charities, depending on their legal form and income, with personal details redacted.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
