The Advancement of Animal Welfare through our four charitable pillars; Research, Education, Fostering and Adoption. RESEARCH Be leaders in Human-Animal Interaction and welfare research through collaboration with leading universities and other relevant organisations. Provide research opportunities which will impact and contribute towards achieving New Leaf Animal Society Charitable Objectives. As the Society grows our own research will be published and shared. We keep up to date with new and relevant research within the Animal Welfare, HBC and HAI sectors. Sharing these insights on our platforms to raise awareness and increase engagement. EDUCATION Utilising the expertise of the New Leaf Animal Society and our Partners to teach new owners about their adopted pet, through the New Leaf Animal Society Adoption programme. Work placements for students and animal welfare professionals are available within our education, fostering and adoption programmes. FOSTERING Invest in building a strong community of compassionate fosters who share in our vision and values. Our research will identify where the need for temporary animal careers are needed. Our fosterers will be trained by the New Leaf Animal Society and respective partners. ADOPTION Match each individual animal to a potential new owner based on what both the animal and human needs are. The new owner will complete the adoption programme working closely with a member of the New Leaf Animal Society team.

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
