The organisations charitable purposes shall be to promote the advancement of Scottish heritage, culture and the arts; specifically the organisation shall undertake activities which develop the playing of Highland Bagpipes and Drums. The organisation shall also provide recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for individuals of all ages and backgrounds in order that they may experience personal growth, knowledge & skills development & enhanced health and well being.

What the charity is set up to do and how it does this:
We teach the the playing of the Highland Bagpipe and Drumming, from beginner learner level both children and adults alike. We are registered with the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (RSPBA) the governing body of the pipe band world. We take on both adult and children recruits whatever there playing level is and develop them into functional pipers and drummers. We recruit people, who due to circumstances of health and well being, would not necessarily be recruited to a main stream competing pipe band.

From 09 March 2026, OSCR is required by law to publish the names of a charity’s trustees as part of its Scottish Charity Register entry. We are also required to publish each charity’s annual report and accounts as received from this date, which may include the names of certain individuals. The Scottish Charity Register contains key information about a charity’s operations and finances. This includes:

  • the names of a charity’s trustees (exemptions apply)
  • its annual report and full accounts, if submitted after 9 March 2026
    (Accounts submitted prior to 9 March 2026 will be redacted, or may not be published, depending on the charity’s income level or legal form.)

These changes are designed to improve transparency across the charity sector in Scotland.
