Object:
1) To provide volunteers who can reach patients in the Garelochhead and Rosneath Peninsula and the surrounding area to preserve life and promote recovery, until an ambulance crew or a trained / authorised medical professional arrives and assumes control and liability for the patient. All volunteers/members operating in accordance with the Scottish Ambulance Service current/most recent, First Responder Handbook & Governance Framework (currently dated Oct 2014) . 2) To support the Scottish Ambulance Service to provide the best possible emergency care to the community of Garelochhead and Rosneath Peninsula and the surrounding area or as directed/requested in times of emergency by the Scottish Ambulance Area Control Centre{ACC). 3) To provide and maintain public access defibrillators within Garelochhead and Rosneath Peninsula area.

From January 2026, OSCR will begin publishing annual reports and accounts in full online once they are received. This marks a change from the current approach, where OSCR publishes accounts for certain charities, depending on their legal form and income, with personal details redacted.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
