The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and the income of it to pay and apply the same in furtherance of the advancement of health by enhancing the quality of life of people affected by long term physical disability, including carers, through the promotion of respite care or short breaks for respite purposes, and the promotion of knowledge and understanding of long term conditions and of available services, in order to improve care and support for people affected by long term conditions and their families and carers and otherwise generally to promote the advancement of health and quality of life amongst people within the United Kingdom, through the support of the work of Leuchie in such manner as the Trustees shall think fit. In exercising their discretion in terms of this Clause the Trustees shall give primary consideration to the wishes of those persons who gift or lend funds to the Trust but this proviso shall impose no binding obligation on the Trustees.

From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
