The purpose of the Association is to provide the Dalbeattie area through the work of its First Responder Volunteer members, in accordance with their applicable Scottish Ambulance Service training "pre-emergency ambulance care", including Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Defibrillation, , to individuals in respiratory or cardiac arrest or who are unconscious or are experiencing a serious or life threatening medical condition. The Association shall not be entitled to change its said Purpose other .than to expand or contract the geographical area(s) in Scotland in which it operates.
Operations:
What the charity is set up to do and how it does this:
To help fill the gap between an ambulance being called and its arrival. We are trained to respond to medical emergencies and try to keep the patient stabile and/ or improve their condition. We are also trained to provide CPR/Defibrillator training to the general public to try to improve the survival rates when someone suffer an Out Of Hospital Cardiac Arrest. To further improve survival rates we are active in supplying and maintaining Defibrillators in the local community.

From 09 March 2026, OSCR is required by law to publish the names of a charity’s trustees as part of its Scottish Charity Register entry. We are also required to publish each charity’s annual report and accounts as received from this date, which may include the names of certain individuals. The only exceptions to publication are where a charity or one of its charity trustees applies for this information to be excluded, and OSCR is satisfied that publishing it would jeopardise the safety or security of a person or premises.

If the charity trustee information on a Register entry appears blank, this may mean that an exemption applies or that the charity has not yet provided the required details to OSCR. Supplying this information will become mandatory as part of future annual submissions.
