The Objects of the Charity are to relieve sickness and to preserve the health of persons living with Facial Palsy who are resident permanently or temporarily in the UK. 1.2.1 to improve the level of care and treatment of persons living with Facial Palsy by increasing awareness and understanding of Facial Palsy and its physical and psychological consequences; 1.2.2 to assist the treatment and care of persons living with Facial Palsy by the provision of information, support, education and practical advice; 1.2.3 to improve access to care by raising the profile of Facial Palsy and its consequences, through education and training of healthcare professionals, where such education and training is not normally provided by the statutory authorities; 1.2.4 to raise funds to support and sponsor research and training for healthcare professionals involved in the management and treatment of Facial Palsy, where such activities are not normally provided by the statutory authorities; 1.2.5 to be an advocate for the Facial Palsy community in the development of service provision, education and research.

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
