The aim of the association is to further community education and participation in sports connected with boats, such as rowing and sailing, and coastal waters, and in furtherance of this aim to participate in the building and maintenance of the boats to be used for such activities and facilitate all relevant training for the boat builders and users, who will be primarily, but not exclusively, from the Parish of Petty and the Village of Ardersier, bringing together diverse members of the community in a local project in which people of different backgrounds can work, socialise and exercise together revitalising the use of the local coastal waters and, on occasion, corning together with other such communities in races, regattas or other organised events.
