Operations:
What the charity is set up to do and how it does this:
We own and manage a community hub, with meeting facilities, accommodation, gallery and craft facilities and refreshment facilities. We own and let three houses in the village for social rent with a focus on providing accommodation for local people who work in the area. We seek to bring our small rural community together by regular social activities and providing facilities for local groups to operate. We try to focus on the building of relationships addressing issues of social isolation and building social capital. We provide regular opportunities for local musicians to play and be hard. Our gallery provides an opening for local crafts people to exhibit and sell their products, and our own craft group meets regularly bringing crafters together from across a wide area. We seek to manage our land in a sustainable and wide life friendly way, with an active gardening group. Our building being open six days a week provides a warm and welcoming space with access to computers and wifi.
