What the charity is set up to do and how it does this:
Currently, MitC is delivering 24 projects that target a wide range of people from across Inverclyde, supporting over 1400 young and older individuals ranging in ages from 18 months to 85+ per week. MitC, in partnership with local community-based organisations, has a strong track record in delivering a diverse range of community engagement projects that respond to the needs of the local community. This has included youth development, with the trust running various football coaching programmes and programmes for children and young people. These sessions help develop football skills and teach important life skills such as teamwork, communication, and resilience. In addition, MitC also delivers projects to support vulnerable community members. This includes initiatives such as social inclusion programs for adults with mental health issues, disability football sessions, and programmes to help combat loneliness and isolation among older people.
