(a) To encourage interest and participation in cricket throughout the MCA area. (b) To provide a forum to enable individuals, sports clubs, and other organisations primarily directed to the development & promotion of Junior Cricket, to work more closely together to enhance the cricket facilities & activities within the MCA area. (c) To submit recommendations to the Local Authority, Sport Moray, Cricket Scotland. The North of Scotland Cricket Association, or their successor organisations and to existing and future cricket clubs within the MCA area, to assist them to promote, encourage and develop the best use of existing sport and recreational facilities within MCA area, and to be involved in consultation on new facility provision. (d) To encourage, with the co-operation of the Education Authorities, the pupils from primary, secondary, and special schools in the area to participate in cricket and to promote the development of club / school links. (e) To explore funding and sponsorship opportunities to assist in the further development of cricket and to activate any such opportunities that are deemed suitable. (f) To promote the education and development of coaches and volunteers. (g) To take such further action as is deemed appropriate to bring about any of the foregoing objectives, and in particular, objective (a). (h) To be non-political, non-discriminatory, and non-profit making.

From 09 March 2026, OSCR is required by law to publish the names of a charity’s trustees as part of its Scottish Charity Register entry. We are also required to publish each charity’s annual report and accounts as received from this date, which may include the names of certain individuals. The only exceptions to publication are where a charity or one of its charity trustees applies for this information to be excluded, and OSCR is satisfied that publishing it would jeopardise the safety or security of a person or premises.

If the charity trustee information on a Register entry appears blank, this may mean that an exemption applies or that the charity has not yet provided the required details to OSCR. Supplying this information will become mandatory as part of future annual submissions.

    (Accounts submitted prior to 9 March 2026 will be redacted, or may not be published, depending on the charity’s income level or legal form.)

These changes are designed to improve transparency across the charity sector in Scotland.
