Subject to that over-riding qualification, the Company’s objects are: (a) to present, provide or assist in the provision of facilities at reasonable costs for the performing and visual arts, including but not limited to music, opera, drama, contemporary and traditional dance, Two and Three dimensional art and light entertainment (such facilities being provided from time to time being hereinafter referred to as "the Facilities") for the general public in, or in connection with, the Local Authority area of Fife Council as defined in Schedule 1 of the Local Government etc (Scotland) Act 1994 (such Local Authority area being hereinafter referred to as "Fife") and other parts of Scotland in the interests of social welfare and improving the conditions of life of the general public and, also, to encourage the wider use of the Facilities by residents of, and visitors to, Fife and Scotland for festivals, concerts, workshops, exhibitions, conferences and events all related to the performing arts; and (b) to advance the education of the public in the performing arts and visual arts by presenting, promoting, sponsoring, supporting and assisting in the development of public interest in and awareness of the performing and visual arts within and at the Facilities and in the community through the use of out-reach programmes, publications, participatory opportunities and other media promotion; (c) to provide or assist in the provision of facilities at reasonable cost for sporting activities for the general public in, or in connection with, the Local Authority area of Fife Council as define in Schedule 1 to the Local Government etc (Scotland) Act 1994 (such Local Authority area being hereinafter referred to as "Fife") and other parts of Scotland in the interests of social welfare and improving the conditions of life of the general public.

Charity accounts and constitution – what information do we publish?

From January 2026, OSCR will begin publishing annual reports and accounts in full online once they are received. This marks a change from the current approach, where OSCR publishes accounts for certain charities, depending on their legal form and income, with personal details redacted.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
