The charitable Trust hereby established, is established in memory of my late husband, Dr Michael (known as Max) Freedman and shall be known as "the Dr Max Freedman Charitable Trust". The charitable institutions above mentioned are:- (a) The Jewish National Fund, Abraham Links House, 43 Queen Square, Glasgow G41 2BD. (b) Jewish Care, Maccabi Centre, May Terrace, Giffnock, Glasgow G46, for its use in Scotland. (c) Jewish Old Age Home for Scotland, Newark Lodge, 43 Newark Drive, Pollokshields, Glasgow G41 4QA. (d) British Red Cross Society, Scottish Branch, 204 Bath Street, Glasgow G2 4HL. (e) Marie Curie Cancer Care, 21 Rutland Street, Edinburgh EH1 2AH - for use in its Huntershill Marie Curie Centre, 1 Belmont Road, Glasgow G21 3AY. No benefit hereunder shall vest in any of the above mentioned charitable bodies or institutions save insofar as income or capital is paid or made over to them or any of them by my Trustees in exercise of the powers hereby conferred.

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.

In addition to the above, a charity may also be able to provide you with previous years’ accounts and constitutions, although it is not obliged to do so. You can contact the charity to request this information using the contact details on the charity’s Register entry.
