The aims and objects of the ‘Dumbarton Gambia Education Association’ are to further the education of the London Corner Community in Serrekunda, The Gambia. In furtherance thereof, but not otherwise, the Association shall seek 2a to uphold and support the nursery school known as Dumbarton London Corner Community Nursery School: 2b to develop links between the people of Dumbarton and the surrounding area and education links with local schools within the community of London Corner. 2c to sustain a programme of providing education, food and medical aid to the pupils of Dumbarton London Corner Nursery School: 2d to work with the community of London Corner to ascertain the needs of the community and respond appropriately to these needs; 2e to heighten the awareness within the local Dumbarton community of Third World issues and encourage them to respond appropriately. 2f to be aware of other educational establishments in The Gambia out with the London Corner area, and consider grants to such establishments where poverty may hinder the health and educational attainment of children
