(a) To relieve the suffering of wild animals and birds by promoting their care and rehabilitation; (b) To advance the education of the public in respect of the care and welfare of sick or injured wild animals and birds, by means of talks, lectures, exhibitions, articles, books or other similar means. All income raised as a result of any such publications shall be used to further the objectives of the trust and no individual or non charitable body will receive royalties or fees related to same. In furtherance thereof, but not othewise, the Trust shall seek to set up and thereafter maintain a rehabilitation facility in the Dundee area for the rescue, repair and rehabilitation of wild animals and birds and to return such creatures to the wild when fit for release or humanely destroy such wild creatures as are so badly injured that they could not reasonably be expected to survive.

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
