(1) To advance the Christian Faith, including in particular practical expression of Christian Love and Compassion. (b) To cooperate with manufacturers, dealers, traders, the press and other sources of publicity for the purpose of promoting the objects of Sanctuary. (c) To procure to be written and print, publish, issue, circulate or otherwise disseminate gratuitously or otherwise reports and periodicals, books, pamphlets, leaflets and other literature. (d) To purchase or by any other means acquire and take options over any property whatever, and any rights or privileges of any kind over or in respect of any property. (e) To apply for, register, purchase, or by other means acquire and protect, prolong and renew, whether in the United Kingdom or elsewhere any patents, patent rights, brevets d'invention, licences, secret processes, trade marks, designs, protections and concessions and to disclaim, alter, modify, use and turn to account and to manufacture under or grant licences or privileges in respect of the same... From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
