What the charity is set up to do and how it does this:

We aim to educate our members and the people in the local area in Scottish Traditional Music and promote an appreciation of music in the Scottish Idiom through regular practices and through the giving of concerts in Nursing Homes, Sheltered Housing Complexes, churches and other venues in our local community. By holding regular practice sessions, we allow individuals to access Scottish Traditional Music, appreciate its distinctive sound. We also hold an annual Fiddlers' Rally which involves bringing together players from throughout Central Scotland. We rehearse together during the afternoon before performing that evening to the general public. Our guest artistes in past years have included singers of Scottish songs and Highland dancers, thus broadening our knowledge of our Scottish heritage and culture.
