The objects for which the Company is established are To promote the welfare, further the health and advance the education of primary school-aged children, primarily but not exclusively, resident in or attending school in the Kinloss area of Forres, by the provision of safe, enjoyable play during school holidays and out of school hours, with qualified registered care, in a relaxed and stimulating environment. In furtherance thereof, (but not otherwise) the Company shall seek: a) To provide and sustain an affordable out of school facility for the primary school children (P1 - P7) of Kinloss Community School. b) To provide a stimulating and creative environment to encourage children's social development. c) To encourage social inclusion. d) To unite varying strands of the community to work together by encouraging sharing of resources with the Community School. e) To support parental aspirations and provide them with relevant information. f) To provide appropriate staffing numbers and skills in relation to children with special needs. g) To encourage employees to gain relevant childcare qualifications and ensure staff are appropriately qualified. h) To work within the statutory framework and liaise with relevant statutory authorities. i) To operate a policy of Equal Opportunities. j) To encourage the participation of as many people as possible, not solely members of The Company, to use the garden and play area.

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
