The Trust is established for charitable purposes only and in particular to relieve the suffering and distress and to further the health of persons with cancer, their families and carers:- AND for the purposes foresaid:- 3.1.1 To initiate a patient-orientated centre in Inverness and such other centres as the Directors may think fit where persons with cancer are actively encouraged to participate in their treatment. 3.1.2 To promote, establish and administer both in Inverness and elsewhere, centres for the support and care of persons with cancer or cancer related illnesses. 3.1.3 To support cancer patients at all stages by the provision of information, nutritional advice, relaxation and complementary therapy and by counselling. 3.1.4 To support the families and carers of cancer patients by the provision of information, advice and counselling. 3.1.5 To initiate and finance research into the care and psychological and physical well-being of cancer patients. 3.1.6 To initiate training programmes for individuals concerned with the care and psychological and physical well-being of cancer patients. 3.1.7 To publish and distribute the results of research into the care and psychological and physical well-being of cancer patients.

From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
