The Trustees shall hold and apply the sum of £100, paid originally by the Founder to them and such other funds and assets as may from time to time be received by them as trustees under the Trust Deed (from the Founder or any other person) and the assets in which any funds so received may from time to time be' invested (such funds and assets from time to time held by the Trustees being referred to as "the Trust Estate") in trust for the following purposes ("the Trust Purposes") namely PRIMARILY: To promote education and research in the Natural Sciences but in particular for education and research in the biological and medical sciences as such terms as may be defined by the Secretary to the Royal Society and without restricting that general purpose to apply to such funds and property for the purpose of maintaining, improving and developing facilities for teaching, for post graduate work, for research or for any other purpose in the development of the Natural Sciences and in particular the biological and medical sciences, To contribute to the endowment of existing and new chairs, departments : and research facilities as shall in the sole opinion of the Trustees promote education and research in the Natural Sciences and in particular the biological and medical sciences; To purchase equipment or to give grants for the purchase of equipment and to give grants for the provision of facilities, whether buildings or extensions of a building, which in the sole opinion of the Trustees can promote education and research. in the Natural Sciences and in particular the biological and medical sciences. In furtherance of the above purposes but not otherwise, To give grants for the provision of conferences and scientific visits; To make the results of any such research available to the public; To, for or towards any other charitable object or purpose or objects or purposes that the Trustees may from time to time deem proper, but excepting any religious purposes
