2. OBJECTS. The OBJECTS of the TRUST shall be to promote and encourage the following aims by charitable means but not otherwise. (a) To encourage high standards of architecture and town planning in North Berwick and surrounding areas. (b) To stimulate public interest in and care for the beauty, history and character of the Royal Burgh and its surroundings. (c) To encourage the conservation, development, improvement and enhancement of features of general public amenity or historic or ecological interest. In furtherance of the above objects, but not otherwise, the Trust shall seek:­ (d) To co-operate with other bodies having similar objects. (e) To obtain and where necessary distribute information regarding proposals for future developments and in appropriate cases to make representations or alternative proposals to the authorities. (f) To pursue these ends by means of meetings, exhibitions, lectures, publications, other forms of instruction and publicity and promotion of schemes of a charitable nature.

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:
