Subject to the declarations hereinafter set forth, the Trustees shall at any time and from time to time hold, pay or apply or allocate the whole free income of the trust estate and shall at any time and from time to time hold pay or apply the whole or any portion or portions of the capital of the trust estate in accordance with charity law to or towards (a) Relieving distress caused to those children enrolled at Dunblane Primary School on the day of the tragedy which occurred at Dunblane Primary School being the Thirteenth day of March Nineteen hundred and ninety six and their siblings and the staff (including teaching, student teachers, administrative and domestic) who were employed at Dunblane Primary School at that time who may be in need of help (whether now or in the future) as a result of the tragedy (b) Advancing the education of pupils attending schools in Dunblane by providing or assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the schools, such facilities being of a kind not nonnally provided by the local education authority (c) Providing or assisting in the provision of, facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare for the benefit of the young inhabitants of Dunblane who were nonnally residing in Dunblane at the time of the incident with the object of improving their conditions of life (d) Other charitable purposes for the benefit of community youth groups in Dunblane

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
