The company has been formed to benefit the community of the Isle of Jura which comprises the postcode unit PA60 (the Isle of Jura) with the following objects: (1) To provide in the interests of social welfare, facilities for recreation and other leisure time activity to the residents of Jura with a view to improving their conditions of life. What the charity is set up to do and how it does this:

To work with the community of Jura to improve the quality of life on the island and ensure that the people who call Jura home have a say in the island’s future. In consultation with the community we develop the Community Action Plan, and manage the community assets of the shop, the cafe and the moorings and pontoons.
