(First) for the construction and thereafter the maintenance of a Memorial to those British Servicemen and Servicewomen who gave their lives in the Korean War (June 1950 - July 1953), always providing that the said Memorial shall be located within the United Kingdom, and that there shall be at all times free access thereto by the members of the public; (Second) to the British Korean Veterans Association (1981) Relief Fund to provide financial support and assistance to indigent Veterans of the said Korean War and to such of their families and their descendants as have become indige~and (Third) to the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Regimental Association, the Black Watch Association, the Kings Own Scottish Borderers Association, and the Royal Scots Benevolent Fund (being Scottish Regiments who took part in the said Korean War and generally to do all such things as are incidental or conducive to the continuance and development of such activities or the attainment of such charitable purposes, subject always to the strict proviso that any payments of any kind made by the said Trustees as herein directed shall only be to institutions, societies, associations, objects, indigent persons and/or other bodies for such charitable purposes as enable the Trust hereby created to be granted relief, from tax by the Commissioners of Inland Revenue under Section 505(1) of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 or the law prevailing at the time of payment.

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
