The objects of the Association shall be: (a) To maintain, manage and administer the building consisting of the Hall and ancillary accommodation known as "Uig Community Hall" as a Community and Social Centre for the welfare of the residents of Uig and District and its, environs in the Island of Skye, in consultation with the Local Authorities, Community Council and such other local bodies or associations as it may from time to time be appropriate to consult. (b) To make such building available for educational, cultural, social and recreational activities of a community nature, and as a meeting place for the local people, without restriction or discrimination of any kind on religious, political or other grounds. (c) To apply such funds, both capital and income, as may become available to the Association from time to time, in the maintenance of and improvements of the said building and its facilities, and for such other purposes, consonant with the foregoing objects, as shall be deemed by law to be charitable and (d) To promote, organise and engage in such events, functions, enterprises or activities as may be deemed appropriate from time to time for the purposes of raising funds to be applied towards the furtherance or achievement of all or any of the foregoing objects.

The Charity owns and manages our village hall, which will transfer to the new SCIO during the next financial year. The Charity also undertakes activities and events for the community to come together in common interest, and collaborates with other community based organisations locally.
