The late Mr George Boag and Mrs Agnes Boag direct that the residue of their estate shall be used to establish a charitable trust to be administered in Scotland and to be called the George and Ness Boag Trust, for the purposes aftermentioned; And the residue of their estate shall be paid to the said Trustees who shall hold and apply the said sum together with such other funds and assets, if any, as any other person may from time to time transfer to them, whether by way of subscription, donation, bequest or otherwise ("the Trust estate") as Trustees for the following purposes (One) for the purpose of providing day trips, or holidays to St Andrews or such other place or places in Scotland as my Trustees may determine, for children in necessitous circumstances who would not otherwise get such day trips or holiday and (Two) for payment or expenditure of the whole or such part of the free income and the whole or such part of the capital of the Trust estate as the Trustees may from time to time consider desirable for such charitable purposes for the benefit of children or to such charitable Institutions, Societies, Foundations or funds having as one of their main or principal objects the benefit of children as the trustees may in their absolute discretion think fit.

Charity accounts and constitution – what information do we publish?

From early 2026, OSCR will begin publishing annual reports and accounts in full online once they are received. This marks a change from the current approach, where OSCR publishes accounts for certain charities, depending on their legal form and income, with personal details redacted.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.

In addition to the above, a charity may also be able to provide you with previous years’ accounts and constitutions, although it is not obliged to do so. You can contact the charity to request this information using the contact details on the charity’s Register entry.
