The object of this Association shall be to promote the benefits or the inhabitants of the Gorbals, defined as Laurieston, Hutchestown, Oatlands and environs by: a) Providing facilities and resources for arts activities, in the interest of social welfare, for leisure and recreation time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. b) Providing tuition, encouragement and support in the arts to groups ,md individuals. . ' c) Developing links with, and working in collaboration with, groups and individuals, within and outwith the said area, in furtherance of the association objects. d) Increasing awareness among local inhabitants of the arts anc\ of the benefits of participation in arts activities for individual and group development. e) Encouraging individual potential, develop skills and increase confidence throughout the arts. f) Securingl, maintaining and managing premises for activities promoted by the association in furtherance of all or any of the above objects. g) The Association shall be open to people regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
