The aims and objects of the League of Friends shall be:- (i) To create, encourage, foster and maintain the interest of the public in the Crichton Royal Hospital and the associated Mental Health Services of the Primary Care Trust and in the welfare of the patients thereof. (ii) To assist by all means, including gifts in kind and money, in the welfare of the patients of the Crichton Royal Hospital, and the associated community services. (iii) To receive gifts of all kinds, including donations, legacies and endowments and to administer those for the general purposes of the Leauge for any specific purpose in accordance with the expressed wishes of the donor, provided that those purposes are approved by the League and the Senior Management of the Primary Care Trust. (iv) To provide a link between the Hospital and the community which it serves (v) To co-operate with other bodies and organisations for the benefit of the Hospital and the welfare of the patents. (vi) To do all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects or any of them.
