The General Nursing Council for Scotland (Education) Fund 1983 ("the Fund") was set up by the National Board for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting for Scotland as a perpetual fund for the purposes of the provision of financial support for studies related to nurse (including midwife and those nursing within the social care sector) education; the provision of research grants for projects related to nurse (including midwife and those nursing within the social care sector) education; the provision and development of reference library facilities for the profession; and the funding of study tours (which shall hereinafter be defined as "the Charitable Purposes") which purposes must be a charitable purpose in terms of the Charity and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and also in terms of any UK taxing/statutes).
