(a) To advance citizenship and community development by assisting voluntary, charitable, social enterprise and community organisations (collectively referred to as the Third Sector) and volunteers to thrive and develop. Everything that AVA does is underpinned by our mission: to facilitate the growth of strong, resilient, and proactive communities by connecting, supporting, and promoting Aberdeenshire's Third Sector. We believe that the impact of Aberdeenshire’s collective Third Sector is greater than the sum of the individual parts and that now, more than ever, is the time when the collective voice and value of the sector needs to be recognised and amplified so that our vision of a vibrant, dynamic, and impact-generating third sector for Aberdeenshire, with a powerful, purposeful, and informed collective voice can be realised. Our TSI team provide support in different forms to nearly 1,000 community-based organisations.

(Accounts submitted prior to 9 March 2026 will be redacted, or may not be published, depending on the charity’s income level or legal form.)
