The objects of the Company, which are purely charitable, are:- (1) To spread information and increase understanding about mental health and mental ill health throughout Aberdeen and North East Scotland. (2) To promote and explore new ways of developing help and support within the community for persons who are suffering from mental ill health. (3) To promote and explore ways of developing help and support within the community for people who, though not mentally ill, suffer from the effects of stress and have difficulty in coping with day to day living. (4) To try to ensure that decisions and developments involving the community in Aberdeen and in North East of Scotland take into account the mental health needs of those affected. (5) To provide services and to promote and organise co-operation in the achievement of the above objects.

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
